My South with The Globalite
The Globalite, Sonya Lai, and I are hitting the road! We'll have already hit the road by the time you read this. I mean, I just posted a photo I took of her. God forbid I do anything promptly. That's far too much organization and commitment. I work, people! I didn't quit my career for this. Plus, it is nice to spend some time enjoying your travels before rushing back to the computer like a madwoman and pounding out reviews and travel guide after guide. Somewhere in the flurry of words, taking in the moments is essential. And sit down with a thesaurus later, crying because you should have taken more notes. Just me? Okay. But there are plenty of photos. So fill those gaps we will. I was Kidding.
Sonya and I are old Instagram buddies. I'm constantly telling everyone who will listen to come to the South, and she messaged me one day saying she'd be working with
Reservations.com and thought all of our colorful houses and sundresses deserved a closer look. She wasn't wrong. They're cute. And so are our hats and dresses. We're downright adorable down South.

So, we whipped out a map (virtually), and I picked a few of my favorite places to show her what I consider MY South. Don't be offended, because I couldn't show her every great city we have to offer (we don't have that kind of time.) But with a week to get on the road and drive (yes, we drove!), we had to pick some strategic yet fun and different locations. So, without further ado, I’m going to present MY SOUTH. I'll be doing a part DOS in the fall to include some significant locale, but consider this Round UNO from an Instagrammable, not breaking down my whole origin story point of view. This list only includes specific locations where we patronized and spent significant time. Not the general strolls and scenic spots like Rainbow Row and Mercer House. Read about those under their respective city recaps.
