My South with The Globalite

The Globalite, Sonya Lai, and I are hitting the road! We'll have already hit the road by the time you read this. I mean, I just posted a photo I took of her. God forbid I do anything promptly. That's far too much organization and commitment. I work, people! I didn't quit my career for this. Plus, it is nice to spend some time enjoying your travels before rushing back to the computer like a madwoman and pounding out reviews and travel guide after guide. Somewhere in the flurry of words, taking in the moments is essential. And sit down with a thesaurus later, crying because you should have taken more notes. Just me? Okay. But there are plenty of photos. So fill those gaps we will. I was Kidding.

Want to be here? Better yet, want to dress cute and run through these award-winning vineyards? šŸ·šŸ‡ Check out the previous post (with the chateau and green car) and enter my Road to 100K giveaway. I'm giving a two night stay at elegant @Chateau_Elan āšœļø plus the chicest travel wardrobe from @AtoZSeattle (for inspo, check out #GlobaliteXAtoZ) and @IdoniVeneto (you will want to live in these Italian-made flats). The contest ends June 29, open worldwide! Good luck! šŸ€

Sonya and I are old Instagram buddies. I'm constantly telling everyone who will listen to come to the South, and she messaged me one day saying she'd be working with

Reservations.com and thought all of our colorful houses and sundresses deserved a closer look. She wasn't wrong. They're cute. And so are our hats and dresses. We're downright adorable down South.

The architectural details of this beauty are unique. #VisitSavannah [šŸ“ø: @thetworiveras]

So, we whipped out a map (virtually), and I picked a few of my favorite places to show her what I consider MY South. Don't be offended, because I couldn't show her every great city we have to offer (we don't have that kind of time.) But with a week to get on the road and drive (yes, we drove!), we had to pick some strategic yet fun and different locations. So, without further ado, Iā€™m going to present MY SOUTH. I'll be doing a part DOS in the fall to include some significant locale, but consider this Round UNO from an Instagrammable, not breaking down my whole origin story point of view. This list only includes specific locations where we patronized and spent significant time. Not the general strolls and scenic spots like Rainbow Row and Mercer House. Read about those under their respective city recaps.
